Her journey began with a BSc in Chemistry and a minor in Biochemistry from the University of Northern British Columbia. As a pioneering member of the inaugural class of the Northern Medical Program, Dr. Hibbitts embarked on a unique educational path that eventually led to her own clinic’s establishment. She further honed her dermatological prowess through the completion of the University of Cardiff’s Diploma of Practical Dermatology with distinction, as well as their Dermoscopy Certificate.

Dr. Hibbitts’s interest in cosmetic and medical dermatology flourished with her mastery of injectable treatments. Her approach is characterized by the seamless integration of medical expertise with a deep understanding of patient needs. Active membership in prestigious associations such as the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine, the Primary Care Dermatology Society of Canada, the Alberta Medical Association, and the Canadian Medical Association underscores her commitment to continuous advancement.

Before becoming an integral part of the Dermapure Fort McMurray team, Lorna earned her reputation as a standout injector working under the guidance of renowned dermatologist Dr. Tahir. She is known for her gentle demeanor, effective treatments and genuine care for her patients.

Her ability to seamlessly blend professionalism with approachability and efficiency with empathy sets her apart in her field. A dedicated Registered Nurse (RN), was the first nurse to join the clinic alongside Dr. Hibbitts when it was founded in 2015. With over 8 years of experience working closely with Dr. Hibbitts and the expanding team, Julie has evolved into an expert, drawing knowledge from a vast array of industry professionals.

Julie’s nursing career began in 2010 in the fast-paced environment of the emergency room. From there she began working in cosmetic surgery, where she found fulfillment in surgical consultations and in assisting patients pre and post operation.

In her extensive 8-year tenure in aesthetic medicine, Julie has attended numerous medical conferences and hands-on labs, driven by her continuous desire for knowledge. Her fascination with human anatomy plays a pivotal role in achieving natural results, a philosophy she consistently upholds. Julie’s unwavering commitment to continual growth and mastery has molded her into a nurse known for bringing a blend of expertise and enthusiasm to every aspect of her work.

A dedicated Registered Nurse, brings a wealth of experience and a unique blend of healthcare and aesthetic expertise to Dermapure Fort McMurray. Her journey in the healthcare field began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Cape Breton University in 2008, followed by the attainment of a Master of Nursing degree from Dalhousie University in 2014.

Kortnie’s professional journey really took off when she ventured into the world of medical aesthetics in 2017. Through rigorous training and certifications in neuromodulators, fillers, and sclerotherapy, she honed her skills, seamlessly integrating her nursing background with the artistry of aesthetics. Under the mentorship of Dr. Hibbitts, Kortnie further refined her techniques, becoming an expert in delivering natural-looking results.

Kortnie’s approach to patient care is characterized by her commitment to enhancing her patients’ appearance while maintaining authenticity. She believes that self-care is a fundamental component of overall well-being, and she strives to help her patients achieve their aesthetic goals in alignment with their unique attributes.

Meet Lindsay, a highly experienced registered nurse whose healthcare journey spans over two decades. In 2003, Lindsay earned her RN degree from Grant MacEwan, followed by a post-RN degree in 2010 at the University of Alberta. Throughout her career, Lindsay has left her mark in various locations, including California, Yellowknife, and her hometown of Edmonton.

Lindsay’s thirst for knowledge and skill expansion brought her to the world of medical aesthetics. She completed the comprehensive Botox and Filler Certification program under the guidance of Dr. Dargie, a prominent figure in Canadian aesthetics training. Lindsay further refined her expertise through mentoring with NP Becky, an esteemed professional with three decades of experience.

In April 2022, Lindsay embarked on a new chapter in her career by joining YMM Cosmetic (now Dermapure Fort McMurray) as a full-time injector. Here, she discovered her passion for the art of medical aesthetics and excels in forging personal connections with her patients.

Lindsay’s career epitomizes her unwavering commitment to healthcare. Her extensive expertise, compassionate patient care, and enthusiasm for the art of medical aesthetics make her a valued healthcare professional and a trusted partner in helping individuals feel their best.

Genevieve is a key team member at Dermapure, bringing a wealth of nursing experience and a steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional care. Her journey commenced at Lakehead University, where she achieved a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011.

Genevieve’s extensive career encompasses a diverse array of roles, including medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and emergency care, shaping her into a seasoned healthcare professional with a holistic understanding of the field.

In 2013, Genevieve’s career trajectory took an intriguing turn as she transitioned from hospital care to chronic disease management and women’s health. This transition began her mentorship with Dr. Hibbitts and introduced her to the world of aesthetic medicine. Her personal experience with the transformative effects of neuromodulators kindled a passion to integrate aesthetic medicine into her professional journey. Currently, Genevieve skillfully divides her time between women’s health and her role as a nurse injector.

Genevieve finds immense satisfaction in boosting individuals’ confidence and comfort in their own skin. Her expertise shines in procedures like liquid rhinoplasty, a non-surgical nose reshaping technique, while her heart remains dedicated to the power of injections and neuromodulators. The most rewarding aspect of her work lies in the positive impact she imparts on individuals’ lives, complemented by the joy of a vibrant and supportive work environment alongside wonderful colleagues.

Samantha's path to becoming a revered laser technician and esthetician is one of passion, dedication, and personal triumph. In 2019, she completed her laser technician course at The European Institute of Esthetics, not just passing, but excelling with honors. This achievement was more than a milestone; it was a testament to her commitment and proficiency in a range of laser, cosmetic, and medical esthetic treatments.

Her journey into the world of skin health is deeply personal. Samantha's own struggles with skin issues not only shaped her understanding but also fueled her desire to make a positive impact on others. It's this empathy and personal experience that make her so effective in crafting bespoke treatment plans for her clients, helping them find confidence and joy in their skin.

Samantha's favorite products reflect her medically professional approach to skin care. Here, she expertly combines her skills in laser treatments with medical grade skincare, offering a comprehensive and nuanced approach to beauty, rejuvenation, and skincare.

And then there are her two cats, and adorable australian shepherd; whose antics and affection provide a different kind of therapy – one of unconditional love and comfort.

Lindsey has been a dedicated member of our incredible team for almost 5 years. Her first introduction to Dr. Hibbitts and the nursing staff began by being selected as a treatment model. 

Now, as the Marketing Director, Lead Administrative Director, VIP Consultant, and Skincare Expert at Dermapure YMM, Lindsey is a chronicle of passion, resilience, and dedication to the art of self-empowerment. Her foray into the world of medical aesthetics was an unexpected journey, emerging from a background in Orthodontics and over a decade of success with a prestigious spray tanning company. This foundation instilled in her a deep-rooted belief in the power of helping others feel confident and radiant in their own skin.

Lindsey's life story is a testament to what dedication, support and self-care can really do. In her early twenties, she faced a personal challenge that would reshape her future. Weighing nearly 300 pounds, she grappled not only with physical health concerns but also with profound impacts on her self-esteem, battling insecurities, anxiety, and depression. Yet, it was this very battle that ignited a transformative spark within her.

Driven by a desire to reclaim her health and happiness, Lindsey embarked on a personal journey of transformation. It was a path marked by determination, resilience, and a profound understanding of self-worth. Born in the picturesque town of Fernie, BC, and raised right here in Fort McMurray, Sara brings a genuine local touch to our team.

As a testament to her dedication to helping clients look and feel their best, Sara is also a skilled Spray Tanning specialist. Whether it's achieving a natural sun-kissed glow or a flawless bronzed look, she excels at providing clients with a radiant, confidence-boosting appearance.
